Bangkit offers amount of great courses within the program, especially Cloud Computing learning path!
As a 2024 Bangkit cohort batch 2, our timeline is slightly short and tight.
When the first time I saw the schedule, my first reaction was like;
There’s so many courses to finish within the given time
FYI, Cloud Computing have two platform to learn the courses, Dicoding and Google Cloud Skills Boost.
Mostly Dicoding courses is like a book, you need a lot of time to read the materials and some of the courses have submission that you have to finish within the requirement.
Meanwhile, Google Cloud Skills Boost (GCSB) is a practical courses on hands on to Google Cloud.
We will be focus on to handle Dicoding Platform.
For the first time, you’ll be given token to claim your Dicoding courses, once you claim it, choose course that gives you excitement first!
Ofc, there’s a deadline once the token is given, but take your time to familiar in Dicoding platform with the course you interesting in!
Being familiar is an important things; start with the UI, find a way to navigate between each page, and lastly you’ll have to read a lot in Dicoding!
Then, how to manage the courses?
If you already familiar with the Dicoding platform, you know there’s a lot of material to read and to understand right?
Personally (this is a suggestion), take a note within each the material and you don’t have to understand 99% on each material but rather understanding the key points of it!
Some of the Dicoding courses offers a summary within each material, so you can re-read it later to get the deep understanding of it!
My takeaways is this; understanding the key points on what the courses about is more important to do!
Why?
Because reading and understanding for one courses can take a lot of your time, while the deadline was so near and maybe your schedule is not just finishing one course! maybe two or more!
Hint: There a week where we only have to finish one course. Don’t be afraid to get left behind!
If you can finish one of the course, you still can read it later for forever!
When you have a free time, that’s the time you re-read the material.
keeping up with the deadline is a positive points in Bangkit, so you can get ahead of schedule and can freely read the materials without interfering with the deadline is more relaxing!
Keep your learning pace same as Bangkit deadline, if you have to finish three courses then finish three of it!
We have different ways to learn and different pace to learn new things, don’t worry, Bangkit is so kind, you can still access all the courses :)
